What is an Apostille?

An apostille is a certification that verifies the authenticity of a document for international use. It is required under the Hague Apostille Convention to ensure that documents issued in one country are recognized as valid in another.


The Florida Secretary of State’s Division of Corporations (Florida Department of State) is the only agency authorized to issue apostilles in Florida.
